Opening: Maintenance Technician
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $25+ DOE

COMPANY INFO:
Opti Staffing is partnering with a respected property management company in Anchorage, AK, to find a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician. This position is vital in ensuring that properties are well-maintained and that tenants receive prompt and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to obtain base access, as some properties may be located on a military base.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Respond to service requests from tenants in a timely and professional manner, ensuring issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
  • Assist with property turnover tasks, including preparing units for new tenants by completing necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with property managers and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
  • Obtain and maintain base access as required for properties located on military installations.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in property management or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in a variety of maintenance areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access for work on military properties.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
