Job Description
Location: Anchorage, AK.
Salary: $20+ per hour
Benefits: Full benefits package
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Yard Hand to join our team at Bobs Services. As a Yard Hand, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to maintaining the yard and supporting the mechanics in the shop. You will be required to work in all types of weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the yard is kept clean, organized and safe for mechanics and customers.
Operate forklifts and other equipment to move trucks, trailers, and other equipment around the yard.
Assist mechanics with basic tasks such as changing tires, batteries, and fluids.
Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans.
Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies in the yard.
Perform routine maintenance on yard equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in a mechanic shop or warehouse environment is preferred.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
