Position:
Welder
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: Based on experience and certification level (Welder I, II, or III)
Schedule: Full-time – Various shifts available

What You’ll Do:
As a Welder, you will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components into structural forms. Responsibilities vary by experience level and include:

  • Reading blueprints and planning layout

  • MIG, TIG, GMAW, and GSAW welding

  • Tack welding and fitting components

  • Assembly using bolts and rivets

  • Equipment setup and basic troubleshooting

  • Quality checks and inspection of finished work

  • Occasional use of carbon arc gouging and acetylene scarfing (Welder II & I)

What You Need to Have: The Musts:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

  • Strong grasp of safety procedures and PPE use

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and production instructions

  • Working knowledge of welding tools and hand tools

  • Basic math skills (geometry, measurement)
Preferred:

  • AWS D1.1 or D1.3 welding certification (Required for Welder II or I)

  • 6+ months of welding experience for Welder III

  • 3–5 years of experience for Welder II

  • 5–7 years for Welder I, with leadership and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Ability to train others and work independently
