OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!
ROLE: WELDER/FITTER
Location: NORTH PORTLAND
Pay: $22 - $28
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
A smaller family owned metal fabrication shop, with multiple generations of experience and work in the Portland area. A job shop that truly works on new projects regularly.

- Be in charge of your success
- Welding: Perform MIG welding on structural steel and other metals. Ensure welds are strong, clean, and meet industry standards.
- Fitting: Measure, cut, and fit metal components together using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately assemble and weld structures.
- Inspection: Inspect welded and fitted components for quality and adherence to specifications. Make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Maintenance: Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience as a structural welder/fitter or similar role.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and fitting methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.
- Certification in welding preferred.
