Opening: Warehouse Associate
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $25 per hour
COMPANY INFO:
Opti Staffing is proud to partner with a leading gas company in Anchorage seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. This role is a vital part of their operations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of shipments and inventory.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying their accuracy against packing slips or invoices.
Order Preparation: Package, label, and stage items for shipment.
Equipment Operation: Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload materials.
Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and update inventory systems to maintain accuracy.
Quality Checks: Inspect shipments for any damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace for efficient operations.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory systems and shipping software is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment safely.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
Effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
