Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a dynamic nonprofit organization in Anchorage that is deeply rooted in youth development and community impact. They are seeking an energetic and outgoing Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow their volunteer engagement efforts across programs and events.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll be the face of the organization’s volunteer experience—recruiting, training, and supporting individuals who are eager to give back. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, organized, and impactful experience for volunteers by:
- Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers through community outreach and partnerships
- Coordinating volunteer schedules across various programs and events
- Organizing and leading volunteer orientations and trainings
- Maintaining accurate volunteer records and hours
- Collaborating with program staff to identify volunteer needs
- Recognizing and celebrating volunteer contributions
- Representing the organization at community fairs and outreach events
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in volunteer coordination, outreach, or event coordination
- Exceptionally outgoing and personable with strong communication skills
- Able to lead groups and represent the organization with confidence and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable using databases, spreadsheets, and email tools
- Experience in a nonprofit or youth-focused setting is a plus
