WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Opening: Tire Technician (Automotive)
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $18 - $21

Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a small, locally owned auto repair shop in Anchorage that takes pride in doing quality work and developing top-notch technicians. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to grow into a well-rounded mechanic while working in a supportive and experienced team environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Tire/Mechanics Apprentice, you’ll get hands-on experience assisting with tire services, general vehicle maintenance, and light repair work. You’ll be working closely with experienced techs and learning the trade from the ground up. Responsibilities include:
- Mounting, balancing, and dismounting tires for various vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs)
- Assisting with oil changes, filter replacements, brake checks, and other routine maintenance tasks
- Supporting the team with diagnostic and repair work under supervision
- Keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe
- Providing friendly, professional customer service at the counter and on the phone
- Helping maintain shop inventory and supplies
- Making occasional parts deliveries and running errands using company vehicles
- Participating in ongoing training and development to build your skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- A team-oriented attitude and ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in the industry
- Basic knowledge of tire services is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Physically capable of lifting heavy tires, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work occasional weekends or extended hours when needed
