OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING!
Opening: Warehouse Clerk
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $22.00 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE:
A well-established Anchorage equipment and parts company is looking for a Warehouse Clerk to join their parts department. This role receives, stores, and distributes parts, tools, and products within the warehouse, making sure everything moves accurately and on time. It's a hands-on position with real room to build technical skills and take on more responsibility over time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders
Read customer orders, work orders, and requisitions to determine what needs to be moved, gathered, or shipped
Move materials and items between receiving, storage, and shipping areas
Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins by size, type, style, color, or product code
Fill requisitions and work orders, and distribute items to staging areas or field technicians
Mark materials with identifying information as needed
Record amounts of materials received or distributed using the company's computer system
Assist with monthly and annual physical inventory counts
Prepare parcels for shipping via truck, air, and water transportation
Keep the warehouse organized, accessible, and safe for staff and customer traffic
Call customers regarding parts on Will Call
Issue credits for returned parts and cores
May assist with facilities maintenance duties and special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Forklift operation and safety certification
Valid driver's license
Strong communication and organizational skills
Solid time management and technical capacity
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Parts experience a plus, not required
