Job Description

Opening: Temporary Paralegal
City: Lake Oswego, OR
Pay: $24 - $32 per hour
Duration: 2-4 Weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Who We Are:
Our client is a reputable legal firm based in Lake Oswego, known for delivering exceptional legal services. They are seeking a skilled Paralegal to support their team for a short-term assignment.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Draft correspondence and legal memoranda.
- Summarize case files, depositions, and other legal documents.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and answering phone calls.
- Support the legal team with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and evidence.

What You Need to Have:
The Musts:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent work experience in a legal setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred:
- Litigation Experience
