As the Intake Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of enrolling clients into the assistance program, managing intake processes throughout Alaska. Your primary responsibilities include:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As the Intake Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of enrolling clients into the assistance program, managing intake processes throughout Alaska. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and conducting client intakes and needs assessments.
- Developing self-sufficiency plans, budgets, and Quality of Life scales with clients.
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and case notes.
- Coordinating the assignment of cases to the case management team and making necessary referrals.
- Facilitating communication through interpreting and translation services as needed.
- Keeping abreast of policy changes and community resources.
- Providing crisis intervention and responding to emergencies where necessary.
- Maintaining client confidentiality and managing sensitive information with integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED and one year of human services work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with respect and professionalism.
- Dependability, maturity, and the initiative to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, with bilingual abilities being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations, including Word and Excel, and the ability to manage online databases.
- Availability to travel within Alaska as required.
- A valid driver's license or reliable transportation for client meetings.
- The capability to manage crises with minimum supervision.
