TAX PREPARER direct hire with client.
This will be a guaranteed tax season role, if the workflow is there and you are a great fit with the team there may be potential for more of a long term role.

Pay: $25 - $33 per hour, DOE.

What You’ll Do:
As a Tax Preparer, you will work both independently and collaboratively with a team, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service. This position offers a friendly and kind work environment, with a relaxed culture. You will bring a positive attitude to the workplace, maintaining focus on the clients’ best interests.
Primary Duties Include:
- Prepare individual tax returns (1040s and associated schedules).
- Communicate with clients to facilitate accurate tax return preparation.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding tax matters.
Schedule:
- Expect some overtime from February to April, including extended weekday hours and additional Saturday hours.
- Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist other staff and clients as needed.
- Coordinate client data between tax programs and database systems.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Education:
- Accounting degree (2 or 4-year) or Enrolled Agent (EA) – helpful but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience preparing tax returns.
- Familiarity with tax software, especially Lacerte, is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Composed under stress and able to meet deadlines.
- Quick learner with a curious mindset.
- Strong integrity and respect for confidentiality.
Compensation:
$25 - $33 per hour, depending on experience.
