Mon-Fri Day Shift: 5:30am-2pm or 7:30am to 4pm (open to negotiation)
Mon-Fri Swing Shift: 2pm to 12:30am
$23.38 to $33.96
Tualatin, OR.

Our client's number one goal is to provide their customers with competitively priced steel bending services that produce quality products, on time. Regardless of the order size, individual steel bending, forming and fabrication specifications and requirements will be met!
What you'll do:
As a machine operator 3 you would typically be responsible for advanced-level duties involving the precise shaping of metal tubing according to production specifications. You will train in day shift for 4-6 months and then you will be moved to swing shift once properly trained up to company standards.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate rotary draw bending machines (like Coast Wallace) to form metal tubing to precise angles and radii.

Interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine correct bending sequences, tooling setup, and material requirements.

Select, install, and adjust tooling (dies, mandrels, wipers) based on tube diameter, material type, and required bend.
-
Load and secure tubing into the machine using proper alignment techniques to ensure accuracy and repeatability.

Perform test bends and verify measurements using calipers, protractors, and angle gauges to ensure conformance to tight tolerances.

Adjust machine settings for factors such as bend angle, speed, and pressure to minimize defects like wrinkling, flattening, or spring-back.

Monitor machine operation to ensure smooth forming processes and intervene when necessary to correct issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve forming defects or equipment issues independently or with maintenance support.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubrication and inspection of mechanical components.
