My client is a leading electronics manufacturer dedicated to optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring quality products, and delivering exceptional service to customers.
What You'll Do:
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee all procurement, inventory control, material movement, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving activities, focusing on cost control, quality improvement, and product availability.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain inventory levels for manufactured parts to support production.
- Procure operational supplies to meet production schedules, ensuring proper documentation.
- Oversee product shipment and stockroom operations, ensuring timely delivery and quality service.
- Establish criteria for preferred suppliers based on evaluations of price, quality, and compliance.
- Prepare inventory reports and materials lists to meet sales and manufacturing needs.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery.
- Expedite materials and maintain Purchase Order data for accuracy.
- Ensure inventory transaction accuracy through audits and trend analysis.
- Provide updates to the Sr. Director of Operations on supply chain and quality-related issues.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director to develop policies and procedures.
- Manage departmental staff, budget, and training plans.
Specific Job Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, ERP, and inventory practices.
- Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Education:
- BS/BA in a relevant discipline required; APICS or ISM certification preferred.
Experience:
- About 5 years in supply chain management within an electro-mechanical facility, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
Job Conditions:
