Our client is a local well established CPA Practice looking to add an experienced staff accountant. Â

What You’ll Do:Â
Our client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team, responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing, and reviewing tax returns. This role requires a meticulous understanding of tax codes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to stay current with evolving tax laws.
Responsibilities:Â
- Prepare individual and business tax returns.
- Work independently
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize liabilities.
- Provide tax planning advice to clients or internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
- Respond to tax authorities' inquiries and audits.
- Research and interpret tax laws to address complex tax issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in tax accounting.

What You Need to Have:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA certification is a plus.
- 2-6 years’ experience in public tax practice
- GAAP knowledge required.
- Compilation/review experience is a plus.
- Be detail oriented.
- Have strong communication skills adjusting tone to address clients within their knowledge base.
- Work independently, as part of a team
- Have significant experience using QuickBooks, Microsoft programs, and tax programs (Lacerte Preferred).
