OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING
Opening: Diesel / Equipment Mechanic (Wasilla)
Location: Wasilla, AK
Pay: $30 - $35+ DOE

We’re partnering with a reputable, locally operated company that supports construction and field operations throughout the Anchorage area. They’re seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Mechanic to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment in top shape and values a safe, organized work environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose issues using manual and electronic tools
- Complete timely and high-quality repairs on various types of machinery
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Order parts and maintain professional relationships with vendors
- Manage time effectively to balance emergency and scheduled repairs
- Ensure equipment is tested and job-ready prior to mobilization
- Uphold safety standards and promote a culture of safe work practices
- Secure the shop and yard to prevent damage and theft
- Maintain tools, shop organization, and cleanliness
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven mechanical experience with equipment and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
- Commitment to workplace safety and professionalism
- Must be dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented
