OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!
Position: Diesel / Trailer Mechanic
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: $25+ (Depending On Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (overtime as needed); some weekend emergency support
Who We Are
We are a heavy-haul and container freight transportation company serving the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana). We maintain our own fleet of late-model trucks, chassis, and gensets supporting specialized container hauling, dry van, and refrigerated operations. Our focus is “Service Beyond Expectations.”
What You’ll Do
-
Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and related systems on trucks and trailer units

Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMs) and scheduled service work
-
Respond to breakdowns and road calls as needed
-
Fabricate, weld, or repair trailer components, frames, and structural parts
-
Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and auxiliary power systems (gensets, reefer units)

Maintain accurate work orders, records, and parts inventory

Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
-
Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and drivers to coordinate maintenance schedules

What You Need to Have The Musts:
-
Strong experience as a diesel mechanic with trucks and trailers
-
Proficient in diesel engine diagnostics, brakes, suspension, and drivetrain systems
-
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals
-
Welding and fabrication skills (steel, aluminum)
-
Ability to work independently and respond to emergency repair calls
-
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
-
Strong safety mindset and regulatory knowledge (DOT, FMCSA, etc.)
-
Experience with refrigerated units / gensets
-
Experience in heavy-haul or container transport equipment
-
ASE certification or equivalent
-
Experience with electronic diagnostics on modern truck systems
