OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!
Position:
Furnace Tech 3
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

At Opti Staffing, we connect great people with great opportunities. Our client is a trusted manufacturing partner known for their high standards in production and quality. They are currently looking to grow their team with a skilled Furnace Technician.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of furnaces

  • Understand production priorities and work to reduce bottlenecks

  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) methods

  • Track product quality and make process improvements as directed

  • Operate additional production equipment including:

    • Powder compacting presses

    • Sand blaster

    • Precision scales

  • Collaborate with engineering on specific production tests and improvement projects

  • Lead small projects and train team members as needed

  • Apply judgement to resolve issues and provide recommendations

What You Need to Have: The Musts:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Solid understanding of various machining processes

  • Ability to independently manage tasks and projects

  • Comfortable working on assignments requiring sound judgement and initiative

  • Willingness to lead smaller projects and mentor others

  • Basic equipment maintenance experience
Preferred:

  • Experience using SPC methods

  • Familiarity with furnace operations in a manufacturing setting

  • Prior experience operating powder compacting presses and similar equipment
