Position:
Electrical-Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Industrial & Automation
(Licensed Electrician in WA State – EL01)

Location:
703 Broadway St Suite 690, Vancouver, WA 98660

Pay:
$30–$35/hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule:
Full-Time | On-Site | Industrial Environment

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production equipment.

  • Read and interpret schematics and electrical terminations for effective problem-solving.

  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, automation controllers, and drives.

  • Replace/test components: drives, relays, switches, sensors, PCBs, temperature controllers.

  • Handle electrical welding, high voltage (120/240V & 3-phase: 220V, 230V, 480V).

  • Diagnose and repair transformers, motors, blowers, and lighting systems.

  • Install conduit and power supply wiring for new/existing machinery.

  • Plan and execute complex electrical installations and control layouts.

  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for equipment upgrades.

  • Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.

  • Assist with training staff on equipment use and safety protocols.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs (including off-hours/weekends).

  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, and local electrical codes.

  • Support UL compliance via rewiring and documentation.

  • Build/configure small PLC controllers for custom applications.

  • Proactively communicate electrical issues and system anomalies to leadership.

What You Need to Have:

  • EL01 Electrician License (Washington State)

  • Strong background in industrial electrical & mechanical maintenance

  • Experience with 3-phase systems (230V, 220V, 480V)

  • Skilled in PLC programming and troubleshooting

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

The Musts:

  • Strong safety mindset and familiarity with NFPA 70E/NEC

  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics

  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting high-voltage systems

Preferred:

  • UL 508A panel building experience

  • OSHA 10/30 Certification

  • Knowledge of SCADA and industrial networking

  • NFPA 70E Certification

  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLC systems

  • Experience obtaining Field Evaluation Labels

Suggested Certifications (If Not Already Held):

  • OSHA 10/30-Hour General Industry Certification

  • PLC Programming (Rockwell, Siemens)

  • UL 508A Panel Training

  • First Aid/CPR
