Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location: Seattle, WA
Pay: $35-$43/hr DOE

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and inspecting chassis trailers, including FHWA inspections, brakes, lights, greasing, and tire changes. You'll work on a large fleet of container chassis, perform welding and fabrication on chassis and containers, and service grain handling equipment like augers and conveyor belts. The role also includes maintaining industrial diesel equipment such as yard trucks, forklifts, rail movers, and container handlers. You’ll carry out repairs, rebuilds, installations, and ensure proper alignment of equipment, along with completing repair documentation and follow-ups. To succeed, you should have a valid driver’s license (chassis certifications are a plus), at least two years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems. The ability to read mechanical drawings, solve problems effectively, and lift 75+ pounds is essential.

- SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Minimum 2 years of experience with chassis, trailers, and heavy equipment

Solid knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems

Welding and fabrication experience (especially on chassis/containers)

Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Physical ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in an industrial setting
