We Are Hiring!

Position:
 Lead Mechanic

Location: Vancouver, WA

Pay: $30 / hour (DOE)

Schedule: Full-Time: Monday - Friday (4x10s)

Who We Are:
A well-established equipment rental operation supporting interstate job sites, focused on keeping a diverse fleet reliable, safe, and job-ready. This role supports rental operations by ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards of performance and safety.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on rental equipment

  • Complete equipment and vehicle repairs

  • Conduct equipment and vehicle inspections

  • Start, test, and verify proper function of all equipment

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in-shop, on service calls, and via telephone

  • Enter parts, service costs, and repair information into the system (POR)

  • Research, compare, and order replacement parts online or by phone

  • Evaluate returned equipment for damage or repair needs

  • Inspect new equipment before it enters the rental fleet

  • Recommend equipment retirement, major repairs, or replacement

  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed

  • Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and appearance

  • Complete service checklists accurately and on time

  • Support yard and warehouse operations when required

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What You Need to Have:

  • Own mechanic’s tools

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable with computer-based documentation and parts ordering

  • Strong communication skills

The Musts:

  • Commitment to shop, yard, and equipment safety

  • Proper handling and disposal of fuel, chemicals, and waste

  • Use and promotion of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Maintain clean and appropriate work attire

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

  • Experience with equipment rental or fleet maintenance

  • Knowledge of SDS sheets and environmental safety practices

  • Ability to assist with training on safe equipment operation
  • Focus on cost-effective and efficient repair practices
