Position:
Technical Roof Specialist
Location: 703 Broadway St, Suite 690, Vancouver, WA 98660
Pay: $75,000-$100,000+ Salary (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM minimum) | Occasional weekends as needed

What You’ll Do:
As a Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in the performance of essential functions of the Company. Team member is required to possess all skills and education of Roof/Envelope Inspector and has the ability to effectively construct roof and envelope assemblies that meet all governing codes and performance requirements of the client. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Competent understanding of bulk water / water vapor behavior in the built environment
  • Ability to effectively diagnose water intrusion sources, assess damage, and develop and convey practical design solutions
  • Competent and accurate assembly identification, age analysis, and service life projection
  • Cost estimating
  • Competent with the performance of diagnostic testing
  • Comprehend, navigate, and prepare Construction Documents (drawings, specs, etc.)
  • Gain client confidence and develop relationships
  • Uphold the standard of excellence of Professional Roof Consultants, Inc.
  • Perform the duties of a project manager and delegate responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose water intrusion and assess related damage

  • Develop practical design solutions

  • Conduct service life projections and cost estimates

  • Prepare and interpret construction documents

  • Build client relationships and uphold company standards

  • Lead projects and supervise team tasks

  • Execute various forms of diagnostic testing

What You Need to Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 6 years in construction, architecture, or engineering

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam

  • Clean driving and criminal record

  • Drug-free status

  • Certification: RRO, RA, PE, or an equivalent alternative

The Musts:

  • Strong knowledge of building envelope systems

  • Diagnostic acumen for water intrusion and material performance

  • Experience with construction documents

  • Project management capabilities

  • Client-focused and results-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education in architecture, engineering, or a related field

  • Additional certifications relevant to building envelopes or roofing
