CNC Lathe Programmer

Job Description
Location: Hillsboro, OR
Compensation: $25–$30/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Bonus: Monthly bonus program based on company-wide sales goals

What You’ll Do
Create CNC programs using MasterCam and Esprit to produce metal parts in accordance with blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Program metal parts to be run on various CNC Lathes and assign program numbers according to customer specifications.
- Daily programming using MasterCam 2024 and Esprit
- Review blueprint and establishes a sequence of operations to produce product
- Update programs with needed changes
- Establish correct tools to use on each machine to manufacture the product
- Design fixtures for CNC Lathe runs
- Produce set up sheet for operators
- Determine size and availability of materials
- Requests materials for production
- Daily communications with CAD Dept, operators and management to develop product as necessary
- Review new jobs and determine priority
- Review returned product and update documentation as necessary
- Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Have
* 3 yrs. experience with BOTH MasterCam (2020 or above) and Esprit programming software
* Experience as a lathe machinist helpful
* Strong knowledge of GD&T
* Skills to plan and program complicated parts according to blueprint
* Understand tolerance and blueprint reading
* Ability to work independently with little supervision
* Excellent communication skills and willingness to work with others
* Must have excellent work ethic and attendance
* Attention to detail
