WE ARE HIRING!
Position: Material Handler
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay:Â $25 + / hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Full-Time, 40 Hours Guaranteed)
Report To:Â Shipping and Recieving /Â Yard Manager

Our Client is a leading steel fabrication operation specializing in transmission towers and substations. Built on integrity, technical excellence, and quality, this team is growing and seeking skilled professionals to support expanding operations.
What You’ll Do
-
Material Movement:
Safely transport materials, including large steel beams, using forklifts and heavy equipment (Caterpillar DP70, DP90, Drexel sideloaders). Maintain required equipment certifications.

Inventory Management:
Conduct inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, document receipts and transfers, and support restocking efforts.

Loading & Unloading:
Load/unload trucks and trailers using proper securing techniques. Verify shipments and follow all safety protocols.

Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, stage materials, and prepare accurate shipping documentation.

Yard Organization:
Maintain a clean, organized yard; optimize storage layouts; support continuous improvement initiatives.

Teamwork & Communication:
Work closely with the Senior Material Handler, floor leads, and fabrication teams to ensure smooth material flow and proactive communication.

What You Need to Have
-
Experience with material handling in an industrial or fabrication environment, ideally.

Ability to operate heavy forklifts and related equipment
-
Strong attention to detail and safety
-
Ability to perform physical tasks and work in a yard environment
The Musts
- Certified or able to become certified on Caterpillar DP70/DP90 and Drexel sideloaders
- Experience and strong skill in operating forklifts and other mobile equipment

Ability to read shipping documents, orders, and inventory records

Reliable attendance and communication skills
Preferred
-
Prior experience in steel fabrication or heavy material environments
-
Proficiency with warehouse management systems
-
Familiarity with inventory control processes
