OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!
Position: CNC Machinist – Level III
Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $33 – $40/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Swing Shift | Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Who We Are:
Opti Staffing is partnering with a long-standing precision manufacturing company in Clackamas, OR that specializes in high-tolerance machining and complex assemblies. We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join a team that values craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, wire EDM, sinker EDM, and various other precision equipment
-
Perform close-tolerance machining on prototype and production parts
-
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
-
Maintain tight tolerances of ±.001” on critical components
-
Apply in-depth knowledge of speeds, feeds, and cutting tools for various materials
-
Perform in-process inspections and adjustments to ensure part quality
-
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on assemblies and custom jobs

What You Need to Have: The Musts:
-
5+ years of CNC machining experience in a close-tolerance environment
-
Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
-
Experience with setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines
-
Ability to hold tolerances of ±.001”
-
Understanding of speeds and feeds for various metals and materials
-
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
-
Experience with prototype and low-volume production work
-
Familiarity with multi-axis CNC programming (a plus)
