Position: Shop Foreman
Location: NE Portland, OR
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

We're currently looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our production floor, manage daily operations, and support our fabrication team.
What You’ll Do:
As the Shop Foreman, you will play a critical leadership role in managing day-to-day operations, supervising personnel, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will be hands-on with fabrication tasks, while also overseeing scheduling, training, and communication across shifts.

What You’ll Do:
As the Shop Foreman, you will play a critical leadership role in managing day-to-day operations, supervising personnel, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will be hands-on with fabrication tasks, while also overseeing scheduling, training, and communication across shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all shop floor activities during assigned shifts
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of fabricators and welders
- Plan daily production schedules and allocate workloads effectively
- Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S)
- Interpret and verify technical drawings and blueprints
- Provide hands-on welding and fabrication support (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Day/Swing Shift Leads, and upper management
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new shop employees
- Perform quality control checks and approve parts for shipment
- Identify process improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics and shop activities

What You Need to Have:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of proven experience in a supervisory or lead role
- Expertise in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
- Strong understanding of shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Experience scheduling teams and managing shop workflow
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and operating power tools
- Management Experience
- Class 2 or Class 3 Fabricator certification
- Experience with press brakes, spot welders, layout, and metal finishing
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
