Position: Shop Foreman
Location: Milwaukie, OR 97222
Pay: $85,000–$90,000/year DOE + Quarterly Bonus
Schedule: Full-time, 10-hour shifts

What You’ll Do:
As the Foreman, you’ll lead our production team on the shop floor—ensuring smooth operations, top-quality output, and a strong focus on safety. You’ll supervise employees, assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication with the Operations Manager and other departments. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and developing team members while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct production employees, assigning tasks based on skill and job requirements

  • Ensure work meets blueprints, specs, and quality standards

  • Troubleshoot issues and oversee problem resolution

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

  • Report job progress to the Operations Manager

  • Train and mentor employees for skill development

  • Implement safety protocols and conduct safety briefings

  • Collaborate with estimating and project management to streamline operations

  • Drive improvements in shop layout, communication, and quality control
Daily Tasks:

  • Lead daily team briefings on goals, tasks, and safety

  • Inspect ongoing work for quality and deadlines

  • Monitor productivity and support team as needed

  • Adjust production schedules in real-time

  • Address workflow or equipment issues immediately

  • Keep workstations clean and organized by end of shift

  • Document production activities, employee notes, and incidents

  • Monitor timesheets and verify correct job codes

What You Need to Have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role (50+ team members preferred)

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication and production processes

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Proficiency in production scheduling and workflow management

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to commute or relocate to Milwaukie, OR
Preferred:

  • Experience with estimating or project coordination

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
