Location: Auburn, WA


Who They Are:
A family-owned machine shop, specializing in the production of aerospace parts. There facility is equipped with vertical and horizontal mills, as well as a Mazak lathe, enabling us to deliver high-quality products to our clients.

What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Machine Shop Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable will CNC mill and lathe (HAAS, FANUC, OKUMA, MAZAK), strong understanding of workflow, work well with others and eager to contribute to our commitment to excellence in machining. Skills Required:
  • CNC Mill Machining: 10 years (Required)
  • Leadership: 5 years (Required)
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of machinists and operators, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment that will allow us to hit shipping goals and on time delivery of jobs to the customer. This also includes getting things ready during the day for swing shift and ensuring a well planned cross shift tie in.
  • Precision Machining: Assist in the set up and operation of machines as needed. Oversee vertical and horizontal mills, as well as a lathe, to produce high-quality aerospace parts.
  • Organization: Ensure the efficient flow of production by organizing and prioritizing jobs by due date and machine capacity. This is key as we have three pallet pool machines that require dedicated oversight to run efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee the precision and quality of machined parts. This may include random audits of large quantity jobs, checking parts before removing from machine or assisting in the first run of new jobs to ensure all features are nominal.
  • Learning and Development: Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development. Eventually, contribute to the programming of machining equipment if desired.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to meet project deadlines and customer requirements. This also includes day and swing shift.
  • Safety: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in production aerospace machining, with a proven track record of leadership. Must also have experience with cell and pallet pool systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in operating vertical and horizontal mills, as well as lathes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality, precise components.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, with a future goal of programming machining equipment.
