Who we are:
We specialize in air compressors and airless painting equipment. Our company was founded in 1984 and we are one of the largest Chicago Pneumatic compressor distributers in the United States. We proved sales, parts, accessories, and service for the equipment, and we are looking for a team member who wants to grow with us in this rapidly growing industry.
What You’ll Do:
As a shipping and receiving clerk your duties will include but not be limited to pulling customer orders and packaging them for shipment and handling receivables. While your title is Shipping & Receiving, you will also be tasked with helping out the front counter with sales and customer service when you have finished all of your shipping duties. The Parts Counter will be responsible for dealing directly with the customers, both in-person and over the phone. A large portion of the job will be securing the right parts via their Partsbook, inventory lists and online databases. You will also be responsible for processing orders and service requests.
Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving:
- Pull customer orders by locating the product and quantity listed for each item.
- Prepare and package items to be shipped in the appropriate shipping box, verify accuracy of all orders.
- Process shipments via UPS Worldship.
- Management of parts room inventory, putting away stock and refilling parts bins.
- Maintain cleanliness of shipping workstation and parts room.
- Orders necessary shipping materials from various suppliers.
- Verify all incoming parts shipments match the shipping documents and what was ordered.
- Inspect incoming UPS and FedEx shipments for damage, file claims on damaged or missing items.
- Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
- Safely utilize material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) to stage orders for pickup
Counter Sales:
- Experience with UPS Worldship or SAP Business One is a plus.
- Prior shipping and receiving, warehouse, or parts room experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Windows based computer software.
- Basic knowledge of Windows based computer software.
- Knowledge of painting equipment, pressure washers, or air compressors is preferred but not required.
- This job requires frequent lifting of up to 50lbs.
