Job Description
Job Title: Sheetrock Stocker/Laborer
Job Summary: We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Sheetrock Stocker/Laborer to join our team. The Sheetrock Stocker/Laborer will be responsible for stocking and moving sheetrock products, assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, and performing general labor duties as needed. The successful candidate will have experience working in a warehouse or construction environment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming sheetrock products for damage or defects.
- Stock sheetrock products in designated storage areas, ensuring that products are properly stacked and secured.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move sheetrock products from storage areas to work areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, ensuring that products are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.
- Assist with general labor duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or construction environment.
- Experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Benefits:
- Pay is $18 - $20/hr.
