Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, fabrication and maintenance of field vehicles and equipment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Plans and coordinates schedule of preventive maintenance for field vehicles and equipment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Directs and implements an organized process of purchasing parts and materials by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by regulatory agencies and company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides the President with recommendations for changes in company policies and performance goals and objectives.
Directs and coordinates activities of departments for which responsibility is delegated to further attain the corporate goals and objectives.
Reviews analysis of activities, costs, and forecast data to determine if the Equipment Division is progressing toward the stated goals and objectives.
Reviews repair and maintenance orders to determine and delegate work priorities. Schedules repair, fabrication, and maintenance of field vehicles and equipment to ensure continuous operations.
Directs all purchasing activities. Reviews and/or initiates all large purchases. Continually monitors the pricing of parts and materials purchased to ensure the most favorable pricing available.
Develops, implements and records all preventive maintenance program activities.
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Inspects vehicles and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Develops, and recommends new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Reviews new product or market plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with the President.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for field and plant operations.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Serves as a member of the Executive Team.
Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
All other duties as assigned.
Manages 2 to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 3 to 5 employees in the Day Shift of Field Maintenance and the Swing Shift of Field Maintenance. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 1 to 5 non-supervisory employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization' s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate' s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
