WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As the Senior Construction Manager, you will oversee off-site production and lead multiple teams, including both office personnel and field crews. You will collaborate closely with department managers to develop and maintain production schedules, negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and engage with customers. Due to the short duration and wide geographic scope of our projects, field staff are managed remotely from our administrative headquarters. You will be accountable for ensuring production remains cost-effective, projects are procured within budget, and performance targets are met or exceeded through the application of change management strategies and industry best practices.
  • Manage entire construction department, including office, field, and warehouse personnel.
  • Manage all construction projects to ensure all materials and supplies are ordered and delivered in time and crews are scheduled to start the project per construction schedule.
  • Communicate with Superintendents and Foreman to ensure all crews have what they need to be successful.
  • Communicate with construction crews, in-house and subcontractors, to keep abreast of all needs and/or issues.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve and/or prevent any issues with the construction process.
  • Review and approve payroll for construction department personnel.
  • Work with the accounting department to make sure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Work with the Hiring Coordinator for all department staffing needs, both office and field staff.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • College Degree in Business (prefer Construction Management degree)
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience (preferred in the construction or manufacturing industry)
  • Great communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willing to put in the hours to learn the position and get the job done
  • "First person in, last person to leave" mentality
