Here, you’ll find the personalized service of a boutique firm paired with the deep expertise typically found in larger practices. Our collaborative structure ensures attorneys stay engaged in firmwide and client matters while developing meaningful interdisciplinary skills. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Advise on a broad range of corporate matters, including M&A, finance, governance, and securities compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements
- Ensure adherence to federal and state laws and regulation
- Collaborate with external counsel as needed
- Supervise junior attorneys, legal assistants, and potentially paralegals
- Train and support members of the legal team and other staff
- Communicate effectively through in-person interaction, virtual meetings, email, and phone
- Participate in Corporate Group meetings and firm events
- Engage in business development initiatives
- Manage daily communications (calls, emails, etc.)
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- $175,000 – $300,000+ depending on experience and candidate's book of business

- Undergraduate degree and JD from accredited institutions
- Active WSBA membership
- Minimum of 10 years of corporate law experience preferred
- Current experience working in a law firm required
- Deep expertise in corporate law, including M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions), finance, governance, and securities
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to advise on complex issues
- Proven business development experience
- Effective delegation and training abilities
- Sound business judgment with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (sit/stand desk available)

I am born and raised in the Seattle area, and have never lived anywhere else. My wife, daughter, and I live in Renton, which is a perfect location for us. We live near all our friends and family, and we love taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. Like the rest of my family, I graduated from the University of Washington, and am a huge Huskies fan. Most of my free time is spent spending time with my family, but besides that, I am a big Mariners and Seahawks fan (Bring back our Sonics!), and I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine. I love helping kids develop both on and off the court, and find it very rewarding to see former players as they get older and grow into young adults. Since graduating from college, I have had a number of jobs, but none that I really loved – until I started at Opti. The amazing culture that has been established is what I’ve been looking for.
