OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING!

Opening: DIRECT HIRE RECRUITER - 2nd Shift Sanitation Tech

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
This position will be working in our Dairy Plant and will be responsible for assisting with finishing production runs as needed and cleaning-in-place (CIP) / Sanitation to prepare the fillers for the next day’s production in the fluid milk department.

*This position requires that the individual join the Teamsters 305 union.
Schedule: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 PM Monday - Friday

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation of filling/bottling, labeling, and stacking equipment as needed.
  • Perform ongoing cleaning processes as required (CIP) as well as maintaining an organized, neat workstation.
  • Sanitation of all equipment, floors, and walls.
  • Maintain preset product quality and efficiency standards.
  • Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Organize and secure all equipment and ingredients when not in use.
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with all coworkers, manager, customers, and business partners.
  • Clock in correctly using the timeclock system daily.
  • Practice and support all Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Chemical Handling procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety is an essential function of every position. Wear appropriate safety gear always. Be aware of your surroundings. Report all near misses, on the job injuries and safety concerns.
  • Perform all other duties when requested or as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
Qualifications to be Successful:
  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment, lift and push/pull up to 50lbs consistently and work on your feet 8-10 hours a day.
  • Available to work multiple shifts and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines and have great organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Collaborative team player, willing to learn all of our workstations.
  • Must be able to maintain a fast, physical pace.
  • Mechanical skills are always preferred.
1 + years working in a food and beverage manufacturer where GMP's and SQF practices are used is preferred.
