Job Description
Position: Sandblaster
Location: North Portland (Swan Island area)
Pay: $20+ per hour, DOE (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (with occasional overtime as needed)

We are an established industrial coating and blasting company specializing in large-scale projects across marine, industrial, and government sectors. Our facilities are certified for military and CARC specifications, and we take pride in delivering high-quality results for both small and large projects in a safe, efficient, and environmentally controlled setting.
What You’ll Do:

Perform abrasive blasting (open blasting, wheelabrator, and tumble blasting) to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or coating.

Work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and marine components.
-
Operate blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
-
Assist with material handling using forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 10 tons).

Maintain cleanliness and organization of blasting and coating areas.

Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and environmental regulations.

Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and quality standards.

What You Need to Have:
The Musts:

Prior experience with sandblasting or surface preparation in an industrial or marine setting.
-
Ability to wear and work with personal protective equipment (PPE).
-
Physically capable of standing, lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
-
Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
-
Willingness to work in a production or shipyard environment.
Preferred:
-
Experience working with military or CARC coating specifications.
-
Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
-
Familiarity with Sherwin Williams or Hentzen coating systems.
-
OSHA 10 certification.
