Location: Vancouver, Washington

About Us: We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Sandblaster with a reputable industrial pumps and energy solutions company. With locations in Vancouver, Washington, this company is a leader in delivering high-performance, serviceable, and quality-built portable pump packages to a global customer base.
Job Description: As a Sandblaster, you will play a crucial role in preparing materials and parts for powder coating and/or painting of fabricated steel items. Experience of 1+ years is recommended, but we are willing to train the right person who possesses the right attitude and dedication. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, you'll work in a dynamic environment that values teamwork and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare parts through sandblasting, cleaning, and pretreatments.
  • Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up materials from surfaces.
  • Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
  • Load and unload the blast cabinet.
  • Assist with painting or powder-coating as needed.
  • Apply and remove non-skid materials as required.
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment operations to detect defects.
  • Load and unload parts or products into fixtures.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.
  • Complete required job paperwork/documentation.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety regulations.
  • Detect and report defective or questionable materials, products, and conditions.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of Sandblasting experience recommended, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent additional job experience.
  • Ability to understand job-specific work orders and paperwork.
