WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Refund Specialist, your role will be crucial in managing financial transactions and patient accounts. You will:
- Review and process patient refunds with accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze and verify details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to resolve refund issues.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, refunds, and related financial activities.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate accounting and record-keeping.
- Stay updated on changes in billing standards and healthcare regulations.
- Use billing software and other tools to perform tasks effectively.
