Opening: Quality Engineer
City: Tigard, OR
Schedule: M-F 7:30am- 4pm
Who We Are:
A local Manufacturing company is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team! Our client was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to producing plastic parts and components for high-technology companies.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Quality Manager in establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns.
- Support continual improvement initiatives like 5S and Kaizen.
- Train personnel on quality awareness and ensure new products meet production standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Purchasing teams to ensure quality compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with supplier performance management.
- Prepare monthly QA reports and assist with reverse engineering.
- Supervise Quality Inspectors during product and part checks.

What You Need to Have:
- 5+ years of experience in quality control, with at least 3 years in an ISO-registered manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency with inspection instruments, including CMM
- Experience in plastics manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
