Position: Project Manager
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: Starting at $90,000 – $100,000/year (Negotiable DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time

What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving custom driveshaft projects from concept through production. Your key duties will include:

Application-Based Driveshaft Design: Analyze customer data to design custom driveshaft solutions that meet functional and dimensional needs.

Technical Drawing Development: Create 2D/3D CAD models and customer-facing approval drawings using industry-standard tools.

Pricing Support: Develop pricing worksheets using design specs, materials, and manufacturing costs to assist the sales team.

Production Oversight: Manage production timelines to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to maintain alignment and project success.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement design and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Documentation & Reporting: Track and document design revisions, production progress, and key project milestones.

What You Need to Have
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
(Equivalent technical education/experience will be considered)
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor Pro and AutoCAD Mechanical for 2D and 3DÂ models (required)

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
Core Competencies:
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rotating machinery

Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced machine shop environment

Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in driveshaft design, mechanical systems, or related manufacturing environments

Familiarity with ERP systems or project scheduling software
