Project Manager – Heavy Construction

Location: Vancouver, WA (Home Office)
Compensation: $60k base, DOE
Hours: Mon-Fri. This is a full-time, permanent position with travel required to job sites. Some weekend work may be required.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage all aspects of projects from initiation to closeout
  • Check and verify construction staking, lay-out and grade control
  • Check and verify that construction items such as concrete formwork, hoisting, haul route access, traffic control, erosion control, safety plans, etc. conform to the contract and approved submittals
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
  • Coordinate project teams, including contractors, suppliers, and internal staff
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess project progress and ensure quality control
  • Oversee project budgets, tracking expenses, and managing cost control
  • Address and resolve any project-related issues or concerns
  • Communicate project status, changes, and updates to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices

  • One year of experience managing quality control on highway construction projects of similar size, type, and complexity
AND, one of the following:
  • 2 years’ experience as a construction project manager or superintendent on highway construction projects of similar size, type, and complexity; or
  • 3 years’ experience as a project engineer, resident engineer, foreman, construction inspector, or equivalent on highway construction projects of similar size, type, and complexity; or
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III certification or equivalent in highway construction or highway material
