Position Summary: The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Foreman to successfully and safely manage all jobs assigned to be on time, under or within budget while maintaining constant communication (information hub) with all personnel related to the projects to avoid or minimize any potential issues.
Prepares, submits, tracks and reviews all submittals, change orders, RFI’ s and ASI’ s logs for assigned project(s). Typically, at any given time 2-6 projects.
Create job book for foreman with all current project documentation.
Setup and maintain all project drawings and documents. Linking drawings to specifications.
Reviews and identifies all RFI’ s, ASI’ s and other design changes for impacts to our scope. Communicates impacts timely.
Compile and write change orders for review by Project Manager.
Prepares draft PO’ s and subcontracts for projects.
Equipment procurement and release log updating. Releasees approved equipment and subcontractors and arranges schedule and deliveries and notifies foreman of status of equipment shipments and arrivals.
Assists with obtaining permits, warranty, LEED, and O & ‘ s/Close out documents.
Coordinates and attends meetings, job site visits/walk thru’ s as required.
Support Project Manager with various other tasks as requested and field personnel as needed (examples: Smartsheet, HH2
Responsible for identifying areas of opportunity to work on continuous improvements and notifying Project Manager.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry and High School/Ged diploma.
Preferred but not required, relevant industry certifications/ Associate Degree/technical school.
Possess excellent verbal, written communications and active listening skills.
Detail-oriented and sets high standards for accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email, excel spreadsheet and word processing, Smartsheet.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of document control and tracking processes.
