Professional Engineer - Mechanical

Location: Salem, OR (onsite only!)
Compensation: Up to $140K, negotiable, DOE
Relocation Assistance
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

What You'll Do:
  • Designs/drafts project mechanical/plumbing/smoke/fire protection elements, coordinates and details end drawings, assists with all stages of work, conducts site visits, and performs system analyses.
  • Designs and drafts assigned projects mechanical/plumbing/smoke/fire protection elements.
  • Coordinates details and processes drawings in a timely manner. Understands and acts with prioritization when reviewing construction submittals and addressing requests for information (RFIs).
  • Assists with coordination of work from initial planning stages through final construction.
  • Conducts site visits during construction phases (when applicable).
  • Performs mechanical/plumbing/fire protection analysis of various building elements.
  • Prepares cost estimates and time schedules for projects from budget phase through construction.
  • Prepares and concisely presents technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel will be required, approximately 10% of the time.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively with a spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and empathy.
  • Acts, demonstrates, executes, and communicates with urgency and prioritization.
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentations, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Respectfully takes direction from Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 8 – 12 years of experience (no less than 8)
  • Must be a PE with the ability to be licensed in multiple states.
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited 4-year college/university in Mechanical Engineering
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport
  • Demonstrated proficiency in: Autodesk (CADD & Revit), Energy modeling, Energy Analysis, Clash Detention, Thermal Modeling, MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
Preferences:
  • An Active, in-good standing NCEES account
  • Fire Suppression certified.
  • Equipped with project management attributes.
  • Confident working ability and understanding of Title 24
