Job Description
Position: Furnace Tech 3Â
Location:Â Vancouver, WA
Pay: $20-25/hr.
Schedule:
- Shift 1: M-F, 11pm to 7:30am
- Shift 2: M-F, 3pm to 11:30pm

What You’ll Do:
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with furnaces.
- Understand and align with production priorities to reduce bottlenecks.
- Implement statistical process control methods and track product quality.
- Operate additional equipment including powder compacting presses, sand blasters, and precision scales.
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete a range of tasks, including working on moderately difficult assignments.
- Train others and potentially lead smaller projects.
- Collaborate with engineering on specific tests and independently work on engineering projects aimed at production improvements.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment.

What You Need to Have:
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of a variety of machining processes.
- Substantial understanding of the job with the ability to apply knowledge and skills effectively.
- Experience in working on moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment.
- Capability to train others and lead smaller projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering on production improvement projects.
The Musts:
- Proven experience in furnace maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with statistical process control methods.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
