Job Description


Position: Furnace Tech 3 

Location: Vancouver, WA

Pay: $20-25/hr.

Schedule:
  • Shift 1: M-F, 11pm to 7:30am
  • Shift 2: M-F, 3pm to 11:30pm

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with furnaces.
  • Understand and align with production priorities to reduce bottlenecks.
  • Implement statistical process control methods and track product quality.
  • Operate additional equipment including powder compacting presses, sand blasters, and precision scales.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to complete a range of tasks, including working on moderately difficult assignments.
  • Train others and potentially lead smaller projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering on specific tests and independently work on engineering projects aimed at production improvements.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.

What You Need to Have:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machining processes.
  • Substantial understanding of the job with the ability to apply knowledge and skills effectively.
  • Experience in working on moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment.
  • Capability to train others and lead smaller projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering on production improvement projects.

The Musts:
  • Proven experience in furnace maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:
  • Experience with statistical process control methods.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
