GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Scheduler 2 enters and tracks new work orders for the plant production floor. This role supports a variety of Scheduling activities (including prototypes and some material transfers) by following established policies and guidelines for tracking in SAP. This role ensures reports and schedule are updated and can be shared in an accurate and timely manner.


REQUIREMENTS:

1 year Knowledge of field of scheduling, logistics and/or ERP system
Ability to work as a team member to support the success of production team as well as other departments
Ability to translate business information requirements into reports (Excel and SAP).
Demonstrates behaviors that support customer satisfaction as a priority,
Create accurate reports and work orders,
Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
Problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
Some database application skills are required, including using Excel formulas and macros.
Responsive and timely communication skills
Mobility including sitting, walking, standing and crouching on the production floor.
Ability to read blueprints is helpful


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrates decision-making skills on day to day scheduling tasks within departmental procedures.
2. Receives order from SAP and creates work orders multiple times per day.
3. Addresses questions or missing information with production, engineering, and QA staff to ensure smooth production.
4. Creates Work Orders per sales orders and requirements.
5. Understands importance of On Time Delivery (OTD) for the plant. Reports daily on decline or challenges to assigned parts or machines.
6. Schedules production runs to ensure parts are produced and delivered on time. Works closely with production supervisors to make adjustments to plan.
7. Reports production status to Master Scheduler daily.
8. Works with Departmental Production Manager to schedule production orders for maximum machine utilization and in concert with available machines and staffing. May visually check status on the shop floor.
9. Maintains and updates relevant documentation on work orders, delivery information and OTD reports.
10. Data entry into SAP and/or excel as needed daily.
11. May participate in customer or internal audits for process or planning. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Advanced: Enterprise Resource Planning
Basic: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
