We’re partnering with a trusted Alaska-based trust organization that manages pension and retirement benefits for members statewide. This long-standing group is dedicated to ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely support for participants preparing for or enjoying retirement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Pension Representative, you’ll work directly with members to guide them through their pension benefits and retirement options. This role requires precision, empathy, and a clear understanding of pension and retirement plan processes. You’ll handle everything from initial inquiries to processing benefits, ensuring each member receives accurate information and exceptional service.
- Assist participants with pension and retirement inquiries, eligibility, and benefit calculations
- Process retirements, terminations, and related benefit requests with accuracy and confidentiality
- Maintain up-to-date member records and documentation
- Communicate with members, beneficiaries, and external agencies to resolve questions and verify information
- Support audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements
- Educate members about benefit options, retirement timelines, and plan rules
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth coordination between departments
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits, or financial services
- Strong understanding of retirement or defined benefit plans preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism
