Job Description

Opti Staffing is hiring!
Position: Paralegal
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: $26-$31+ DOE
Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Who We Are:
We are a dedicated legal practice specializing in probate, personal injury, family law, and estate planning. Our team is committed to providing top-notch legal support and administrative assistance, ensuring our clients receive the best service possible.
What You’ll Do:
  • Document Drafting & Filing:
    • Draft legal documents for various cases including probate, personal injury, family law, and estate planning.
    • Prepare and file documents with the court using online systems.
    • Create and manage estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Transcribe dictations from attorneys using Speech Exec PR Transcribe.
    • Print, scan, and fax documents as needed.
    • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism.
    • Make phone calls to clients, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
  • Calendar Management:
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings for attorneys, including some personal events.
    • Maintain and update calendars to ensure timely reminders and appointments.

What You Need to Have:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Paralegal certification is a plus.
    • Prior experience in probate, personal injury, or estate planning law is advantageous.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Proficiency with Speech Exec Pro Transcribe or similar dictation software.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Familiarity with online court filing systems and document management.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
The Musts:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Professional demeanor in handling phone calls and inquiries.
Preferred:
  • Notary Public certification is a plus. If not currently a notary, we are willing to cover the costs for obtaining this certification.
