Outside Mechanical/Industrial Sales

Our established client is looking for a Manufacture Representative for Mechanical equipment serving Industrial, Contractors, and Wholesalers, selling Steam/Hydronic equipment to the HVAC and general industrial markets of Washington state. Founded in 1947, they have been serving the Portland, Washington, Idaho and Montana areas.
This is an opportunity for a self-motivated and detail oriented person with three to five years outside sales of mechanical equipment.
The successful candidate will be required to visit customer and potential customers, build relationships, manage existing business and grow new business in the territory. The position offers sales support and training as well as an expense account to facilitate selling. Included is a company car, company credit card, company cell phone, laptop.
*Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts.
*Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing a strategic goals and relationships.
*Demonstrate the basic features and benefits of our products.
*Identify and sell into new and existing Commercial and Industrial applications.
*Work up job costs, sell prices, and proposals to be presented to the customer.
*Provide sales forecasting information as required.
*Effectively utilize sales resources including manufacturers' support, demo equipment and presentations (training provided).
*Working inside office as needed, filling in for an inside sales rep.
*Minimum 3-5 years experience in Outside Sales.
*Steam/Hydronic/HVAC Equipment knowledge.
*Knowledge of Heat Transfer.
*Experience in Industrial/Commercial Industries.
*Highly motivated and success driven.
*Strong knowledge of mechanical devices.
*Fully developed tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing and growing existing customers).
*Strong communication and presentation skills.
*Strong knowledge and understanding of computers and software including Microsoft office programs and Email programs.
*Strong organizational skills.
*Possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
*Work location to be at office with a minimum of 80% travel to Customer facilities expected.
*May be gone 2-3 days traveling or longer.
*Time is spent in customer facilities exposed to dust, industrial and machinery noise and heavy equipment, and roof tops.
*Personal protective equipment is required and provided by the company.
Compensation: $50k DOE
