Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager oversees all aspects of commercial construction projects—from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Preconstruction
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Work with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop budgets, schedules, and logistics plans.
- Prepare and manage project buyout, including subcontractor selection and contract issuance.
- Oversee day-to-day project activities and provide leadership to superintendents, subcontractors, and project engineers.
- Manage the project schedule and ensure milestones are met.
- Monitor project costs, change orders, and budget forecasts.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work quality, subcontractor performance, and safety compliance.
- Lead weekly project meetings and coordinate communication between the field team, design team, and owner.
- Manage owner and subcontractor contracts, billing, and financial reporting.
- Review and approve invoices, pay applications, and change orders.
- Track project profitability and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Support and enforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure site safety plans are implemented and followed.
- Oversee permitting, inspections, and compliance with local building codes.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Oversee punch list completion, warranty handoff, and final documentation.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and process improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- CLEAN background, will need to be able to access Boeing site
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with design-build or CMAR delivery methods.
- LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices.
