Location: Anchorage, AK Downtown
Pay: Up to $170,000 annually DOE
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid option available BUT MUST LIVE IN ALASKA

This is a highly visible role for a hands on financial leader who can take ownership quickly, stabilize operations, and bring clarity and accountability to the team. The office is professional and collaborative, located in a quiet downtown setting.

We are partnering with a respected organization seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to step in and provide immediate leadership and structure to the accounting department.
This is a highly visible role for a hands on financial leader who can take ownership quickly, stabilize operations, and bring clarity and accountability to the team. The office is professional and collaborative, located in a quiet downtown setting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and oversee the full accounting and finance department
- Provide hands on leadership while supporting daily accounting functions as needed
- Assess and resolve accounting backlogs and audit related matters
- Strengthen financial reporting accuracy, compliance, and internal controls
- Partner with executive leadership to support operations and financial strategy
- Mentor and manage accounting staff while building accountability and teamwork
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and structure
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Minimum 7 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong, decisive leadership style with a hands on approach
- Experience with Native Corporation accounting highly preferred
- Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with 8a Government contracts strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct highly preferred
- Ability to step into a fast paced environment and take immediate ownership
SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY:
- Full time Monday through Friday 8 to 5
- Hybrid schedule available with up to two remote days per week
- Professional downtown office environment
- Background check required
- Company is ready to move quickly
