Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $23 to $28 per hour
Remote or Hybrid Anchorage AK - Must be available to work Alaska Time or Pacific Time hours

Opening: Medical Biller Part Time

COMPANY INFO:
We are partnering with a well established outpatient behavioral health organization that provides state certified and nationally accredited services, including telehealth. This team values accuracy, compliance, and strong internal collaboration. This role is critical to supporting the revenue cycle and ensuring clean, timely reimbursement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Process, submit, and track insurance claims including Medicaid and private insurance
- Handle behavioral health billing workflows end to end
- Complete and follow up on prior authorizations
- Manage collections including outbound collection calls
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Post payments, reconcile remittances, and resolve denials
- Run and interpret billing and productivity reports within the EHR
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure clean claims
- Maintain accurate billing and financial records
- Communicate professionally with patients, payers, and partners
- Support overall revenue cycle performance and compliance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience
- Medical Billing and Coding certification required
- Strong experience with Medicaid billing including Alaska Medicaid
- Experience billing in behavioral health or private practice settings
- EHR experience required with strong preference for InSync
- Comfortable managing prior authorizations, claims, denials, and collections
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written, verbal, and phone communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and billing related technology
- Must be able to work Alaska or Pacific Time hours
