COMPANY INFO:
We’re partnering with a well-established construction company in Anchorage that is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability and growth with a respected local employer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable process for construction projects and operations
- Review and process invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships, addressing billing discrepancies as needed
- Support month-end closing and project cost reporting by reconciling AP accounts
- Implement process improvements to streamline efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies
- Provide guidance and mentorship to AP staff members
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong background in accounts payable, ideally with leadership experience
- Prior experience in the construction industry or project-based accounting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Clear communication skills and the ability to problem-solve with vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff
- Dependable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
